    Who Are You?

    April 1st, 2010 by admin

Today, virtually everyone has a website. It doesn’t matter if you are referring to a business or your best friend down the street. Having free websites seems as important and necessary as having a cell phone. The plus of the website over the cell phone is that there are free website makers… haven’t seen a free cell service yet. The beauty of the website is that it allows you to stay in touch with the world, promote yourself or your business and it can do this while you are sleeping. A strong online presence is important, especially today.

Few people will deny the importance of having an online presence. A business isn’t really considered a business unless they have a website. Customers want to be able to visit a business on their own time not the time of the business, wherever it is located. The world today is a global community, which is a huge plus if you are a company wanting to make money and market to the other side of the world. You can’t possibly have your business staffed 24/7… but you can have a website. Free website makers make it easy and cost effective.

Wait; don’t think that an online presence only applies to a company that is looking to make a profit. Online presence is also very important into today’s competitive job market. More and more employers are doing internet searches on potential employees. What does this mean to you? If you are looking to land that dream job, you need a strong online presence. Facebook, Twitter and MySpace are not enough. Joining networking groups aren’t going to do it either. Imagine your potential employer typing in your name and clicking search. What is the first thing that pops up, your free websites. This is your showcase, an area where they can see what an expert you are and why you are essential to the success of their business.

Sure there are plenty of places and people that you can turn to that will help you create a website. They will also charge you a pretty penny to do it. Knowing that you are going to need them to make any changes to the website or post content, unless they take the time to teach you how to do it. There may be some that will try to teach you, but not many. A free website maker though is going to help you create the perfect website for you… and they aren’t going to charge you for it.

Of course not all free websites are created equal, so you should be as selective with your free website maker as you would be with the person that will charge you an arm and a leg to create your website. There are a number of legitimate free website makers out there. Find one that meets your needs and start creating your online presence today. It can be the difference between making that sale or getting that job… and not.
