    Google’s global domination plan

    February 26th, 2010 by admin

What is Google actually doing? That’s a Great Question.  Before 2009 Google was a friend with many large corporations. Apple, Adobe, and almost everyone apart from Microsoft, of course.

Now, take a look at the recent fall-outs they’ve had with affiliates:

Apple – Android was released, became enemies

News Corp. – Became unfriendly after the news row

Twitter – Became enemies after Buzz announced; Every USA ISP,After announcing high speed interwebs, enemies

Mozilla – Ties were strained after Google unveil Chrome

Adobe – Allowing users choose HTML5 or Flash on YouTube

Microsoft (still) – Relationship became worse after Bing deal.

Now let’s talk about Buzz. Google announced Buzz on 9, frebruary, a new service that integrates social networks into a special area of Gmail. Works with cellphones too, like iPhone and Android. Buzz will appear like a new folder into Gmail. Just under the mail box. “Buzz is new world inside Gmail”, said Todd Jackson. The service was created with five pillars: 1. Automatic Followers 2. Quick share experience 3. Public and private contents separated 4. Mailbox integration 5. Just “cool things”, in Jackson’s words.

Google announced that Buzz will be completely released all over the world in a few days. Since Buzz’s annoucement, the new service gives a social network touch on Gmail. In the next day, “buzz” was the second most posted on twitter. Privacy is a problematic point on Buzz. Even before you touch Buzz’s setup, anyone can see your profile and see who are you talking to.
