A switch is a electric device that looks at the hardware address of the packet and sends it to the correct place. It is great when you need to connect computers and have too many computer for the number of ports available on your router. IT guys also use them all the time because they can attached a whole office full of computers to the same network.
I really like the Cisco switches and they are available all over the place. I recently went looking for a new Cisco Switch and I was amazed at how many places are selling them and I was also amazed at the price variations between one website and the next.
One of the best places I have found to get information and find the best pricing on Cisco Switches is Cisco 3560 which can be found at wwwcisco3560com. The site is dedicated to offering the most up-to-date information an all of the Cisco Switches including the absolute newest ones available on the market.
I have been working with computers and doing networking for most of my life, so I feel like I know something about Switches. But, when I found this site, I was blown away at all of the information they offered. I spent just an hour or so looking at all of the different Switches on their site and reading all about each of them and I walked away feeling so much more educated than I had ever been before.
I also save a whole lot of time by using this site because all of the prices are listed right on the site.
