Buisnesses are looking to move to countries like Brazil, Russia, India and China, or BRIC (Bra, Rus, Ind, Chi) as the pros in the corporate world call it. The fact that they even have an acronym for it shows how serious they are. While the fields of buisnesses to enter is as diverse as the cultures these countries have to offer, the tech gadgets industry seems to be attracting the most interest.
Mobile phone accessories for example are becoming hugely popular as phones like the blackberries and Apple iphones get more and more users in these countries everyday. Firms are investing big in setting up local plants that manufacture htc accessories and blackberry accessories at cheap prices in their own countries, and the paybacks so far keep increasing with the increasing number of users everyday.
For the end user, this increase in competition can only be a good thing. However, it remains to be seen how this globaliation is going to effect the cultures of these countries, as many begin a transition from socialism and communism to capitalism, and the effects will only be known after 10 or 15 years.
For now, people seem happy and contempt, and given the current situation of the global economy, it can only be a good thing that there are still avenues where buisness is actually booming. Ofcourse this means that there will be jobs lost in countries like the US as a result, but this is to be expected, and frankly, the end user could’nt care less.
